Dolvean House

We have had a lovely stay at dovelean guest house in falmouth. Lovely welcome on arrival. Great choice for breakfast. Room was spotless (room 9)comfy beds. Shaun was very helpful. Great location for beach /town and train station. Bit of a steep hill. But after a while. We got use to it. And also off road parking. Highly recommend if you are looking for a guest house in falmouth. Thank you Shaun for having us. 👍

The place itself is fine, but during a wedding event next door one of the owners (German) made comments toward my friends that we experienced as racially insensitive. Because of that interaction, I wouldn’t feel comfortable recommending this place to Jewish guests or people of colour.

We have stayed at Dolvean House on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed. Even with the pandemic the high standards are maintained with extra safety measures in place to protect residents and staff. The location is ideal for us, with places of interest easily accessible and local restaurants within easy walking distance. Shaun and Renate are a wealth of knowledge about Cornwall and are always willing to give advice and tips on where to visit and eat etc. Rooms are very well maintained and very clean. The owners work hard to make your stay as comfortable as possible and always making sure everything runs smoothly during your stay. Breakfast is always good with a good selection available.

Dolvean House is a nicely appointed B&B with wonderful breakfasts and warm hospitality from owner/operators Shaun and Renate. They are very friendly, welcoming, and helpful, so I will definitely return and highly recommend to everyone. I very much enjoyed my 2-week stay there as I took in the sights around Falmouth and completed a week of walking on Cornwall’s incredible footpaths. Make Dolvean House your home away from home when you visit Cornwall!
