About The Westcott

Walk into a room at The Westcott and you get the essentials done properly: an en-suite bathroom, a comfortable bed, drinks to hand, and in a number of rooms a view out over the sea. Nothing is overdressed or fussy here - this is a straightforward, adults-only bed and breakfast set up for guests who want a good night's sleep and a decent start to the day rather than extra frills.

That start to the day comes in the form of a full cooked breakfast, and there's outdoor seating for taking in the surroundings when the weather allows. Free WiFi and 24 hour reception cover the practical side, while free on-site parking makes arriving and leaving straightforward.

The property sits on Gyllyngvase Hill in Falmouth, within reach of golf, fishing and watersports, plus walking areas for exploring the Cornish coast on foot. Pubs, restaurants and other eateries are nearby for evenings out, and there's entertainment nearby too, making it a workable base for a few days taking in the town and coastline.

Fabulous little hotel by the sea with, maybe, 8 rooms. The Westcott was super clean and tidy, our hosts welcoming on arrival. There is plenty of parking on site or roadside. Situated close to the beach at Gyllingvase and with an easy walk into town we had plenty to see and do. Our room had a sea view and was immaculately presented. Kettle, tea and coffee with fresh milk and water in the fridge was a nice touch. We had a lovely stay here and would like to return again.

Hello. We enjoyed our stay at The Westcott enormously. We stayed four nights and wished we were there longer. We didn't want to leave. We stayed in Room 7. Lovely room with lovely ensuite bathroom. A large room with a great view of the sea. Two minutes walk from Gyllyngvase beach. 10 mins from Falmouth town and harbour. Highly recommend this B&B. Beautifully kept by Andy and Mark. So clean. Room was spotless. Bed super comfy. Clean towels daily if needed. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Breakfast (veggie one for me) 10/10 every morning. So good. Thank you so much to our hosts Andy and Mark. Can't wait to visit Cornwall again.

Very friendly and supportive staff. Great location, 1 minute walk to a sandy beach and cafes. Room felt a little smal for an american tourist, but all the necessary amenities were there. The only concern was the sound isolation - could hear the tenants from another room snoring during the night.
