Perfectly positioned on Market Strand for coastal adventures and town exploration, this welcoming hotel features a restaurant, bar, and 24-hour reception with all rooms offering en-suite facilities and WiFi.

About Prince Of Wales

Falmouth's harbourside is the setting for the Prince Of Wales, a small hotel on Market Strand with just three rooms. Its position puts guests within easy reach of the town centre and the Cornish coastline, making it a straightforward base for exploring the area on foot.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, free WiFi and in-room drinks, and breakfast is served each morning. There's a restaurant and bar on site, plus 24 hour reception for whatever hours guests keep. Free on-site parking is provided, which is a useful bonus in a town where space near the harbour can be tight.

Beyond the front door, Falmouth offers walking routes, fishing and watersports, along with further pubs, bars and restaurants nearby. It suits those who want a compact, no-fuss stay close to the water rather than a large resort-style hotel.

Pub for locals, not holiday makers. My wife and I came in looking for food and possibly a room for the night. The kitchen was closed and the pub was clearly aimed at locals who drink during the day. The landlord had a funny smell about him, one I remember from my youth. So we decided against staying. Probably a great pub for local customers, or if you like a more “Spit and sawdust” kind of establishment, but not great for tourists looking for decent accommodation. Better places to go in Falmouth I’m sure.

Visited this wonderful gem today for the first time, I am sure it won’t be the last. A wonderfully warm welcome for us all. A dog bowl and lots of fusses for our two dogs. For the humans good drinks and possibly the most amazing cheese board I have ever seen and eaten. The staff / owners were friendly and welcoming and I cannot recommend this gem enough.

First time visiting The Prince of Wales, a very nice relaxing atmosphere, very friendly helpful staff. The prices are very reasonable, the cheese board was lovely, one of the best I have ever had, lots of different cheeses, lots of crackers, chutney’s plus some meats. Along with the pickled onions, olives and stuffed mini tomatoes made for a wonderful feast with my glass of wine that was included. I will definitely be going back there next June when I next visit Cornwall.
