About Village Hotel Farnborough
Pinehurst Road sits on the edge of Farnborough, within easy reach of the airport, and Village Hotel Farnborough makes the most of that convenient position for both business trips and short leisure breaks. The hotel has 123 rooms with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and family and accessible options available, plus lift access and room service for those who want to stay put after a long day.
The leisure facilities are the real draw here: an indoor swimming pool sits alongside a well-equipped gym, sauna and even an ice bath, with a range of classes on offer for guests who want more than a treadmill session. There's a restaurant and bar on site, along with a snack bar and breakfast service, though some find the food pricier than expected. What guests say
I had heard a lot of good things about Village Hotels, so booked one night at Farnborough between being in London and needing to get to West Country early the next day for a wedding (work). We didn't get in until 1:30am after train delays and probably had one of the worst nights sleep I've had in a while. We seemed to be on the end of the hotel where either a delivery was being made, or there was something happening outside, which caused a lot of banging. Further to noise issues, it seemed like housekeeping were starting their work really early in the morning. We could hear constant banging and moving around of furniture. Either the soundproofing of the hotel is really bad, or there is no respect for guests trying to sleep... (bare in mind we were awake at 7am and the noise started hours beforehand). On the other hand, breakfast was really nice and the staff were all friendly. I made a note on our booking that we might be needing to leave before breakfast opened and they had a packed breakfast made up for both me and my wife. It wasn't needed in the end, but very helpful. Overall, we had an ok stay, just wish we had a better sleep for the 6 hours we were there for with a full day of work/travel ahead. Not sure if we'll be staying at a Village Hotel again after again hearing great things originally.

I had a pleasant stay at the Village Hotel overall. The hotel was clean, modern, and offered excellent facilities, including a Starbucks, gym, swimming pool, steam room, cold plunge pool, and sauna, which were all great additions to the stay. The room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable, and the hotel was nice and quiet at night, making it easy to relax and get a good night's sleep. The lifts were also convenient, especially when carrying luggage. The main downside was the check-in process, which is primarily self-service. While this may suit some guests, I prefer a more personal check-in experience. Unfortunately, there was a mix-up with my booking, and I was initially given a room that was already occupied. I then had to return downstairs to speak with customer services to resolve the issue. There appeared to be only one staff member available, which resulted in a wait when dealing with queries and problems. The food was a little disappointing. I ordered the wings, which were supposed to come with BBQ sauce, but they were quite dry and lacked flavour. Despite these issues, the cleanliness, facilities, and comfortable room made for an enjoyable stay, and I would consider staying again.

Great modern hotel. Parking is an issue atm as they are currently building an extension which takes up a chunk of the car park. There is a decent gym, pool, sauna and plunge pool which is available to guest, at extra charge under some rates, and the public. Busy at usual peak times, which adds to tge parking chaos. Beware of leaking AC units during this heatwave! (June 26) Nice friendly staff. Always helpful.

Disappointing couple of stays over the last few weeks. I've been assigned rooms on the first floor each time, and found that the air con won't work. With rooms only having a tiny window, they get incredibly hot in this recent weather, and so you end up with an unpleasant nights sleep. The check in staff member last night had no solution except to say "someone is working on it". Room changes were not possible as I was told the hotel was fully booked, and was offered compensation but I just really want the decent sleep I paid for! Food in the bar is OK, and there's a good selection of drinks, but if you're looking to sleep well, look elsewhere.
