What diners say
Dining at Gebeta Ethiopian Kitchen was an absolute highlight. From start to finish, everything about the experience was exceptional. We ordered the vegetable sambusas, a vegan platter, and the doro wat—and every dish was full of rich, comforting flavor. The injera was truly some of the best I’ve ever had—perfectly soft, fresh, and balanced. The yellow lentils on the vegan platter were especially delightful and stood out for their depth of flavor. The drinks were just as memorable. I had one of the most delicious teas I’ve ever tasted, made with coconut milk, turmeric, ginger, and honey—it was both soothing and flavorful. Hubby also enjoyed Ethiopian beers, which paired perfectly with the meal. The ambience was fantastic—the music, the art, and the overall atmosphere created such a warm and inviting space. Our server was incredibly pleasant and attentive, which made the experience even better. We will absolutely be back. Highly recommend!

I came all the way from Minnesota, USA, and this was some of the best Ethiopian food I’ve had in a long time. Everything tasted incredibly authentic and reminded me of home. The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, and the staff were so kind and welcoming throughout our visit. They made us feel right at home and provided excellent service. I’m so glad we found this place while visiting London, and I would definitely come back again the next time I’m here.

Amazing spot for Ethiopian! We ordered the samosas and chickpea soup for starters and special for two and the vegan option as mains. All were incredibly good and just the right amount of food portion wise. If you are central I truly reccomend this spot! The woman who served was also fantastic.

It was an early booking and I didn’t know what to expect but it was super good! I ate my meal with my fingers which Ive always wanted to do! My husband and I are vegetarians so chose a red lentil dish which was enormous and it came on a roti bread; Rather than like An enormous pancake and a chickpea curry that you pour over the rest of the dish. We also ordered Hummus and pitter which was delicious. I had an Ethiopian beer and my husband had a traditional tea. A very small casual Ethiopian restaurant just off from Hatton Garden. In-N-Out very quickly.
