About Painters Farm Campsite
Plant yourself firmly in the cherry orchard at Painters Farm Campsite beside the village of Painters Forstal, where new owners have breathed fresh life into this family-friendly two-acre site after more than 50 years under previous stewardship. Welcomed by fairy-lit barns and sweet shade from cherry trees, you'll find spotless facilities—hot showers, immaculate washing-up areas, a drying room and launderette—plus helpful staff who've earned the site its peaceful, welcoming reputation. Spacious grass pitches (electric or non-electric) suit tents, campervans and motorhomes alike, with barbecues and campfires allowed, while the on-site shop covers essentials and a cracking pub sits just two minutes' stroll away.
You're beautifully placed to explore the sloping Kent Downs National Landscape, with medieval Faversham five minutes' drive for cafés, ice cream and supermarkets, and Whitstable's oyster bars and sailboats within 25 minutes. The country's oldest family-owned brewery and a natural-foods farm hall lie within 10 minutes if you're stocking up for supper. The only minor grumble? Some feel the site could benefit from a refresh in places, though most agree the warm welcome more than compensates.

What visitors say
Wonderful little campsite. Really well maintained with lovely people on hand to help. Handy little shop on site, great big field next door to let the dog off the lead. Lovely clean facilities and just general good vibes! Gutted we had to leave earlier than expected, especially in such glorious weather!

Beautiful campsite, lovely people running it and plenty of space on a BH weekend (not over booked) really clean toilets, showers and washing up facilities, great suppliy of fire pits and logs and great little shop for essentials. The pub up the road is amazing, book ahead of you can. Again, friendly staff and the best wood fired pizzas we had eaten in a long time!

Lovely campsite, quiet and peaceful. Staff were friendly and attentive. Bathrooms were clean and showers were hot. Useful washing up station too and lots of drinking water taps. Would stay again :)

Lovely small family run site with super friendly staff and owners. Very clean facilities. Only slight negative are cold toilet and shower blocks and electric showers which we all know are not great. However, not to put anyone off as was enjoyable with nice pub only a few mins walk away.
