Burnside

Burnside is a substantial stone cottage set back from the road in countryside that slopes down to the Lumbo Burn. The building itself has the character of a traditional family home, with enough space and amenities to accommodate six people across three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Ground floor rooms include a living space with woodburner, a separate dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher. Upstairs, two doubles each have their own shower cubicle, while a third bedroom holds a pair of single beds. Essentials like heating, linen, towels and wifi are provided, along with initial logs for the fire.

The enclosed garden spans two levels with furniture and a covered pond at its lower boundary, where the burn runs. There is parking for two cars on site. St Andrews lies twenty minutes' walk away along the Lade Braes—a route that brings you straight into the town's historic centre, with its shops, restaurants, theatres and golf courses. Craigtoun Park and the Dukes course are also accessible on foot. A pub and shop are roughly a mile away. The property is non-smoking. There are steps within the garden leading down to the covered pond area, worth noting if you are travelling with young children.
