Saltire 26

Saltire 26 is a contemporary lodge built to high specification, with everything on one level for ease of access. The open-plan living space centres on a kitchen fitted with a gas range, dishwasher and full-sized fridge, flowing into a dining and sitting area with a smart TV and electric fire. Three bedrooms sleep six: a kingsize with its own en-suite shower, and two further rooms each with twin single beds served by a separate shower room. One well-behaved dog is welcome.

The lodge comes with its own hot tub on an enclosed deck with garden furniture, separate from the shared sauna, steam room and gym available to guests staying across the resort. Parking for two cars is on site. Essentials including heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are covered. No smoking is permitted inside.

St Andrews lies five minutes' drive away, or take the local bus service. The resort itself sits near Cameron Reservoir, where a footpath offers access to wildlife, water sports and fishing. Families, couples and golfers make regular use of the area.
