Tulip Cottage
Folkestone and Hythe
Tulip Cottage is a converted barn with exposed beams, sitting within Hoad Farm—a working estate that traces its roots back to medieval times. The whole property is yours alone, set among formal gardens with a shared courtyard and children's play area. One dog is welcome. The open-plan ground floor holds a living space with a smart TV and DVD player, a dining area, and a kitchen with an electric cooker. Two double bedrooms, each 4ft 6in, have French doors opening onto the courtyard; one has an ensuite with bath and shower, the other a separate shower room. Underfloor heating, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are all provided.
The location works both ways: peaceful enough for a genuine retreat, yet close enough to Folkestone and the Kent coast for day trips. Families should know there's an enclosed pond in the garden. The cottage suits couples or small families wanting countryside without total isolation, or anyone needing accessible, single-storey accommodation. On-site parking is included, and the formal gardens give the place a quieter feel than a standard holiday cottage.
