About Harry's Meadow
Tucked into 50 acres of wildflower meadow in the grounds of a private manor house, Harry's Meadow delivers the freedom of wild camping with a generous helping of civilised perks. There are no fixed pitches – simply choose your spot under the ancient oaks and enjoy spectacular views across the Avon Valley. Hot showers and compost loos keep things comfortable, firepits and seasoned wood are available to buy, and you can park right beside your tent (though there's no electric hook-up).
The real luxury, though, is the food and drink. A cafe van serves barista coffee and pastries in the morning, morphing into a pizza operation come evening, while a cocktail truck and local brewery supplying organic ales keep spirits high. At weekends, choose between stone-baked pizza or a punchy prawn bhuna. Guests consistently praise the friendly staff, spotless facilities, and the peaceful setting – plus there's wild swimming and excellent walking nearby.
The welcoming pub in Woodgreen is a 25-minute stroll if you fancy a change of scene.

What visitors say
Harry's Meadow exceeded my expectations. A stunning central New Forest setting with walks and wild swimming on the door step. The field was huge and there was no need to be on top of other campers. The facilities were clean and regularly checked and I found it great to have a private shower cubicle! Owen and Jesse were super friendly and helpful. The cafe and bar were a great addition and we found ourselves having a couple of evening drinks most nights whilst the kids played nearby. We were here for 5 nights and 4 days and I could have happily stayed longer. We will definitely be back to Harry's Meadow in the future!

Short version: Lovely site, facilities and people Long version: Headed down to Harry’s Meadow Campsite for a few nights with my friends. Got set up and went down to the river to conquer the rope swing. Came back for a lovely hot honey pepperoni wood fire pizza with a side of Go Fish and good banter. After some football and cricket it was time to hit the hay. George was a massive help all weekend and he set us up with a map for our hike the next day. We headed out for scenic walk and ended it at a pub ‘The Horse and Groom’ with an incredible meal. We also got to enjoy some fair games at the local fete. With my friend Ryan becoming the welly wanging champion. We had one more stop at the river before heading back for another hot shower. We got the bus back into Salisbury, visited the cathedral, ate in town and headed home. Would highly recommend Harry’s Meadow Campsite.

The most incredible campsite on The Hale Park Estate, overlooking incredible views! Wild swimming at the river just 5 min walk away. The facilities are really great and kept very clean. A beautiful spacious field and the lambs running around opposite are sooo sweet. The pizza truck & bar in the evening is great and pastries / coffees in the morning. You can also join the mat / reformer Pilates classes at the main house below the field 🤍 My favourite place!

What a wonderful weekend and a great spot to try out our new tiny green camping kettle (see photo attached). A beautiful campsite with everything you need and more. Clean facilities and friendly hosts. Coffee and beer available to buy if you fancy it. We will definitely be going back. They also have two other sites in the New Forest! From J&R
