Harry's Field

Nice campsite in a great area for walks and cycling. Massively over priced for what is effectively a field in the new forest. The few loos and showers were clean but the urinals outside in a shed were rank. Large pitches but weirdly we had another persons car parked in ours for the entire weekend which is a first and the pitch next door couldn’t get into their pitch without coming across ours which was odd. The grass was about six inches high with all the grass cuttings left so everything inside the van was covered in grass. There were dogs off leads peeing on people’s tents all weekend. Kids screaming and running across our pitch and kicking balls against our van until 10pm on the first night was annoying. Coffee wasn’t great, certainly not “Barista” quality as specified. No phone signal or WiFi available which made planning our bike rides difficult as couldn’t download maps etc. As previously mentioned, a nice camp site in a great location but certainly not worth sixty odd quid a night. For that kind of money I expect more and better quality onsite facilities, and shorter grass. The pub next door isn’t great. The Three Lions half a mile down the road is far better.

We have just come back from a bank holiday 3 night stay from Harry’s field. As a family of 4 which love the new forest and come yearly. This was our first stay here. The facilities were clean, the two main staff on site were always more than helpful and really friendly. The area is enclosed which made it feel safe for our children to play and ride around on their bikes. The location is great. 5 minute walk to the river and 10 mins to get to a lovely little cafe called the potting shed. A very nice pub right next door. Overall the weekend couldn’t have been better. We will definitely be returning next summer.

Great first experience glamping at Harry's Field in their lovely bell tents. Staff super friendly, and brilliant time all round, surrounding lovely, the weather helped!

We had a wonderful weekend at Harry’s field. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the location is stunning. We had four children with us, they absolutely loved it and we can’t wait to go back. There are lots of gorgeous walks, lovely pubs for food or a cold pint after a walk! The area has loads of new forest ponies and donkeys roaming free which really makes it magical. Our bell tents were huge and had really comfy beds, and we had everything we needed in the little kitchen area to make our meals. We had pizza from the on-site pizzeria on the Saturday eve, which were delicious, plus the little shop becomes a bar in the evening so we could order ice cold cocktails as well! There is a lovely friendly family vibe at Harry’s field, we made new friends and it feels really safe for the children to have a bit of freedom around the site. The toilet facilities were spotlessly clean and always stocked with loo roll and soap, and showers were hot and lovely and clean too. Thankyou to the Harry’s field team for a perfect weekend!
