About Best Western Glasgow Hotel

Step into a room at the Best Western Glasgow Hotel and, in many cases, you'll find one of the recently updated ones, with an en-suite bathroom and the usual comforts you'd expect for a night in the city. Family rooms and accessible rooms are available too, and with 102 rooms spread across five floors, there's a decent range on offer. It's worth noting that standards can vary, as some rooms have been reported as less well kept than others, so it may be a case of the luck of the draw.

The hotel sits on Sauchiehall Street, one of Glasgow's main thoroughfares, putting guests within easy reach of Glasgow Queen Street Station and the shops, bars, restaurants and entertainment venues that line the street and surrounding area. Breakfast is served on site and is consistently one of the better-regarded parts of a stay here, while free WiFi, a lift, luggage storage and laundry service cover the practical bases. Concierge services and packed lunches are available on request, and pets are welcome.

Staff are generally friendly and helpful, though some guests have found service inconsistent. There's no parking available at the hotel itself, so those driving in should plan accordingly. For a straightforward, well-located base in the heart of Glasgow, it does the job.

I mistakenly selected the wrong dates when making my reservation. I noticed the error immediately and contacted the hotel on the same day, asking if my booking could simply be moved to the correct dates. I was not requesting a cancellation or a refund—only a change of dates. Unfortunately, the hotel declined my request without offering any flexibility. Although I understand that hotels have booking policies, I believe that helping a guest who reports an honest mistake right away is a matter of good customer service. The unwillingness to assist in such a straightforward situation left me with a very negative impression, and I would not choose to stay here in the future.

Booked as gift overnight stay. Staff very helpful. Accommodation was very good, a little expensive but on a couple of main bus routes. Breakfast buffet was well stocked and the hot breakfast was, hot! As the booking was made via Booking. Com, As a gift, I couldn't add my BW rewards membership points as it was Booked through a 3rd party operator.

I recently stayed at the Best Western Glasgow after booking through Revolut points and paying extra, which made the experience even more disappointing. We were given what felt like one of the worst rooms in the hotel—an accessible room despite none of us needing it—and while accessibility is important, the condition of the room was concerning and I feel for anyone who actually requires those facilities. The TV remote didn’t work, making it impossible to watch TV, the WiFi kept dropping, the heating barely worked, and the lights were flickering. The floor was visibly dirty, the shower head and toilet were not properly cleaned, and there wasn’t even a toilet brush provided. Overall, the room felt neglected and well below the standard expected.

Been staying there on 06/10/2025. Was into the 8th month of pregnancy back then , arrived the hotel way too early before check in due to escaping from an abusive at that time “partner” not having anywhere to go . Neil went out of his way and sorted out the room for me asap seeing that I am pregnant when I just asked him if it would be okay if I just waited sitting in the lobby for a few hours until check in time and if it’s possible to just use the toilet if there is any for public use on the ground floor - less than 5 minutes later I was already in my room having my peace and quiet time . What an absolute angel Neil is ! Nice , friendly and highly professional! Definitely deserves a raise and promotion
