About Glasgow House
Glasgow's West End mixes tenement streets, bars and easy access into the city centre, and Bank Street sits within this stretch, a short distance from Charing Cross. Glasgow House occupies a spot here, offering straightforward guest accommodation across 12 rooms.
Breakfast is included, and luggage storage is available for those arriving early or leaving late. The rooms themselves are simple rather than showy, and this is reflected in a mixed set of opinions from past guests, so it suits travellers after a functional base rather than a polished stay.
Pubs, restaurants and other eateries are all within easy reach, making it easy to eat and drink out rather than rely on the guest house itself. The Scottish Event Campus is also nearby, useful for anyone visiting for a conference or show, while Charing Cross gives quick onward links into the rest of Glasgow.

Lovely location although difficult to park. Comfy yet dated room. Lovely welcome on arrival. Main thing that let it down was our room being by the front door, the noise level was impossible to sleep through especially when there was a conversation at full volume being held outside our room at gone midnight, which sounded like it was between the owners. I wouldn’t recommend staying more than a couple of nights.. but for the one night we were there it was fine.

Only left one star because you can’t leave a 0 Turned up at the property and was asked to give my passport number/reg number/address/telephone number. When I entered my room - stains on the bed, hairs in the cups, kettle didn’t work, carpet didn’t even touch the walls, mold everywhere. This was booked through work for three nights, but I immediately booked somewhere else to stay. I was called up two days later to ask why I wasn’t staying at the property, why my bags weren’t in the room and if I was staying at the property tonight. I wasn’t happy at all - as I was in an important meeting and had to step out to except the call. I drove to the hotel to complain about being contacted and express to them that it was my room for 3 days - what I did in that time was my business. I requested my check in document to be given back to me as I wasn’t confident in their ability to remain GDPR compliance. Expressing that I had never given my passport number and phone number to a hotel. I was then involved in a 20min discussion around staff policy, whilst also being shown other guests check in documents, an immediate breach of GDPR and proving my point. The couple stood talking between each other in their native language, completely ignoring me and any questions I had. I left with a scanned copy of the document after the lady straight up refused to give me the original back. I paid £400 for another hotel - rather than stay in this hell hole. Absolutely disrespectful staff, disgusting rooms, rough location.

Very Kind and friendly stuff. Jst Karan paaji was very friendly. Thanks to his partner as well. Rooms were cozy and clean. Overall, loved it. Will definitely come again if we go to Glasgow in future.

An average experience overall. Nice location and interesting surroundings, but there wasn't enough to make it truly memorable. Good for a quick visit.
