About Holiday Inn Glasgow City Centre Theatreland

Walk into a room at Holiday Inn Glasgow City Centre Theatreland and you'll find a properly sized, clean space with an en-suite bathroom, a shower that guests rate highly, air conditioning and in-room drinks. Family rooms and accessible rooms are available across the hotel's five floors, all reached by lift, and while the fittings are modern throughout, ventilation in some rooms has been flagged as a weak point worth knowing about before you book.

Downstairs there's a restaurant and bar for meals and drinks on site, plus room service, packed lunches and kids' meals if you're travelling with children. Breakfast covers both hot and cold options and is generally well regarded. Laundry service and luggage storage are on hand for longer stays or awkward travel days, and meeting rooms make this a workable base for business trips too.

The location on West Nile Street puts you right in Glasgow's theatre district, with pubs, bars and restaurants within easy reach nearby. Parking isn't included at the hotel itself but chargeable parking can be found close by, and staff are consistently described as helpful when it comes to sorting out the practicalities of a stay.

We chose this hotel mainly because it is located a stone's throw away from the Buchanan bus station, as we had to catch an early bus back to Edinburgh airport. The location is really good, in the center of Glasgow, there are buses nearby, as well as the subway. It's a simple hotel, but offers a good size room, a comfortable bed, we slept well, despite the noise from the street (just make sure you have some earplugs). Bathroom was also fine and clean. Breakfast was good-ish, they offer a buffet style breakfast with scrambled eggs and so on, while also providing you the option to order fried or poached eggs. The quality of the products on the other hand wasn't so fabulous. As we had to grab a quick bite on our last morning, they also offered bags to grab some additional pastries for the road. This was nice. Coffee was also good, as long as you don't take it from the coffee machine. Staff is friendly and helpful

Great weekend stay at this hotel from start to finish! We arrived earlier than check in as we wanted to ask to store our luggage until check in while we walked around the city, George was very friendly and helpful and helped us with that. While out and about he phoned us to say that our room was ready, almost 2 hours before the check in time which was great news! While checking in George was great, signed me up for IHG membership, and gave us great recommendations and advice for our hike to Ben Nevis the following day, which he was very knowledgeable in. Room was lovely, great amenities, comfy bed, great location and quiet. We got back very late from our hike in the Highlands, and asked for a later checkout which was done with ease, a perk of George signing us up for an IHG membership (Thanks George!) Staff all very friendly and breakfast was nice. Definitely will be back. Thanks again!

Overnight stay in a suite. Room was fantastic and all facilities were excellent. Staff were fantastic too and very helpful. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars for service is the 3pm entry to the room, which is a bit late in the day...especially if you have an event at night. The suite was excellent and would have been great to have the opportunity to relax, and spend more time in the room prior to the night-time event.

I had an excellent stay at Holiday Inn Glasgow. From the moment I arrived, the service was outstanding—especially from the receptionist, Niomi, who was warm, welcoming, and very helpful. The food was also fantastic. For dinner, I had the salmon, which was cooked perfectly and full of flavour. At lunch, I enjoyed a chicken baguette, which was just as delicious. The waiters and waitresses were all very friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning!
