About Premier Inn Glasgow Buchanan Galleries

Glasgow's city centre is built for shopping, dining and getting around easily, and Premier Inn Glasgow Buchanan Galleries puts guests right in the middle of it, positioned above the Buchanan Galleries shopping centre and close to Queen Street Station. From here, the main attractions, restaurants and pubs of the city are all within easy reach on foot.

The hotel has 210 rooms spread across 16 floors, each with an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and city views from the higher levels. Beds are a particular strength, and rooms are generously sized for a central hotel. Accessible rooms are available, and there's a lift serving all floors. A restaurant and bar operate on site, breakfast is served each morning, and 24 hour reception means arrival times are flexible.

Staff are consistently friendly and helpful, though service can be slow at busier times. Parking isn't available on site but chargeable parking can be found nearby. With entertainment, pubs and restaurants all close by, it works well as a base for exploring Glasgow without needing a car.

This was the third Premier I have stayed in during my 5 week tour of Scotland. This time I had a Premier Plus room which had the best bed, so comfortable, the room was very clean although the carpet was marked, there was some small cuts in the leather headboard, and the woodwork was chipped here and there but this did not affect my satisfaction with the room. The shower was amazing, lovely hot water and really great water pressure. Breakfast was included in my room rate and although I opted just for the continental there was a good selection of cooked items. I was able to get gluten free toast. Dinner was a bit limited for coeliacs but what I had was delicious. Location was brilliant with a very short walk to both train and bus stations with plenty of choice for shoppers. The view from my room was straight down West Nile Pedestrian only area so there was always something to watch from a perfectly placed easy chair and footstool. The staff were very hospitable and happy to help out. Great bar for a well earned drink after a day of sightseeing.

The room was spacious and had everything I needed, including sockets with USB and USB-C outlets. The bathroom was clean and the shower was warm. Nothing to complain about at breakfast either, there was enough food and I didn't have to wait. The only gripe was that they do self-service check-in and if you're in trouble then there's not necessarily going to be any staff on hand to help with that.

Overall a good stay. There were lots of small hits that could do with addressing. Some furniture in the room needed replacing as quite badly worn. The air-conditioning/blower very loud and alot of effort for not alot of blow!!! Bed was a bit flat, mattress needs looking at as was a bit soft in places. Breakfast was really good

We booked this hotel specifically because the rooms were listed as air conditioned. On a hot day, we arrived to find our room muggy and stifling. I switched on the AC, but the airflow was barely noticeable. After waiting nearly an hour, I went to reception. They said they would "reset something from the control room" and asked us to wait 20 minutes. Thirty minutes passed and nothing changed. I went back down and received the exact same response. On the third attempt, a member of staff came to our room and theatrically adjusted the AC controller, making the same changes I had already tried. When he claimed he had fixed it, I pointed out that the output had not changed at all. He then offered us a fan, which he left without checking. It didn't work either. Back downstairs again, we were finally offered a new room but told we had to pack up all our belongings, take them down nine floors, collect new keys from reception, and then make our way back up. Travelling with a toddler, a pram, and suitcases, I asked why we couldn't simply be given keys to go directly to the new room. After the ordeal we had already been put through, it was the least they could do. The new room had a functioning AC, but the walls and ceiling were visibly stained and the room looked thoroughly neglected. This was an exhausting and deeply disappointing experience. Poor maintenance, dismissive staff, and not a single moment where the hotel tried to make things right.
