About Sandman Signature Glasgow Hotel

Glasgow's city centre puts shopping, bars and restaurants within easy reach, and West George Street is where Sandman Signature Glasgow Hotel makes its base. With 179 rooms, it's set up for both business trips and weekend stays, offering parking for those arriving by car and a central position for anyone exploring on foot.

Rooms are a strong point, with guests finding them generously sized and well equipped, including kitchenettes and comfortable beds with good showers in the en-suite bathrooms. That said, maintenance can be inconsistent in places, so it's worth bearing in mind that not every room will feel freshly finished. The hotel also has a gym on site, along with a restaurant and bar, breakfast service, and free WiFi throughout, plus practical extras like laundry service and luggage storage.

Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, and the food on site is well regarded. Beyond the hotel, guests can find pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby, with a golf course also within reach for those wanting to venture a little further. Pets are welcome, and accessible rooms are available for guests who need them.

I honestly don’t know what more I can say about Sandman Signature Glasgow Hotel other than outstanding. I originally booked an Itison voucher for a Monday, but decided to turn it into a weekend away instead. The team were incredibly helpful in changing my booking to Sunday, allowing me to book the Saturday directly through their website—completely hassle-free. The experience only got better from there. I enjoyed the service and food so much that I ended up dining both days in their on-site Chop Grill & Bar. On the first night, I had the ribeye steak with a rich red wine demi-glace—perfectly cooked and served with excellent sides. Lunch the next day was a chicken burger, which was just as impressive, followed by chicken and smoked ribs for dinner. Every dish was consistently spot on. A real credit to the entire hospitality team for delivering such a warm, seamless, and high-quality experience. This was my 6th stay—and that alone says everything you need to know about this hotel. My only negative is that the hotel needs to take a look into the house keeping team. Every time I have stayed, the rooms haven’t been as high standard as everything else. It’ hasn’t improved. The room Should always feel spotless and well presented and unfortunately there has been several concerns. With that been said, what a fantastic experience.

Disappointing stay. Our room was clean and efficient, we had a king bed which we like, but was so small there was no place for two pieces of luggage. We asked if there was anything else we could switch to and reception told us all the rooms on our floor (I guess meaning price category) were the same size, so this is what we all get. We were with another traveler, a single person, so we went to see her room down the hall. It was noticeably larger than ours. She had two club chairs, we had one. She had 6’ more floor space between bed and wall. Her bathroom had bath sheet size towels. Ours had tiny towels that barely covered you up. Why would they assign the larger room to a single guest vs two guests? In the end we managed, but I am frustrated that they basically lied to us about the rooms all being the same size.

We absolutely loved this hotel. The location is perfect when you want to catch the firstbus towards the airport. The hotel is completely new and the stuff gave us the 9th floor just when I asked for a nice room. Just perfect. The only negative thing - there are two elevators and 9 floors, so the way down can take a bit longer.

Stayed here as part of a tour of 22 Americans. Staff, facilities, food, and rooms were all very good. In particular the renovated bathroom was outstanding and spacious. The only wrinkle was when one of the two small lifts malfunctioned as we were trying to check out after breakfast. All in all, excellent and highly recommended.
