About The Belhaven
Belhaven Terrace is a quiet stretch of Glasgow's West End, lined with grand Victorian townhouses, and it's this setting that The Belhaven calls home. The area feels residential and settled, yet the Scottish Event Campus is within easy reach and Hyndland lies just over a mile away, making the hotel a useful base for exploring the city without staying in the thick of it.
The building itself is a converted Victorian townhouse, and its 18 rooms keep a relaxed, comfortable character rather than anything corporate, each with free Wi-Fi. Downstairs there's a chic cafe-bar alongside a restaurant, plus breakfast service, air conditioning and a lift for easier access. Guests also have use of a garden, an indoor swimming pool, and a spa and sauna, while meeting rooms and wedding facilities make it suitable for events as well as overnight stays.
Practical extras include free on-site parking, luggage storage, porter and concierge services, and drinks brought to the room. Beyond the hotel's own grounds, the neighbourhood offers nearby pubs, restaurants and entertainment, giving guests plenty to explore within walking distance of Belhaven Terrace.

What guests say
Have stayed for one night only and despite very late arrival was greeted with a smile and very smooth and quick check in. Bedroom was very nice, clean and spacious - a hot shower was especially welcome on a cold winter night. Location is brilliant if you need to be in the close proximity to the University but only a shirt bus ride from the city centre as well. Break fast was very good and served in a pleasant room with high ceilings nicely decorated for Christmas. I would like to extend my particular gratitude to the lady who was working at the reception and assisting with breakfast. I was permitted to leave my bag until late afternoon after check out which made my travel around the area much easier. I would certainly recommend this hotel without doubt.

When I arrived the staff were smoking on the steps and just chatting. When I got to my room it was very stuffy, so that evening I opened my window but realised it opened to a courtyard and I didn’t feel safe keeping it open all night and it also didn’t have a lock on it. In the morning I then had a member of staff walk past my window and stare in and also stood out there vaping so it came into my room and I’m severely asthmatic. I then spent all day exploring as the location is good but I got back in the evening and couldn’t sleep as I was so concerned that someone would come in through the unlockable window. I left at about 5am as I did not feel safe as a solo female traveller.

Very tired room at the top of the building. Multiple light bulbs out, poorly finished paint job, flaking and cracking paint throughout, mould on the silicon around the bath, window frames that could do with being replaced. Although you have control of the thermostat, the room is still very cold.

I stayed here as a treat to myself as it seemed fancy and had a spa bath. Realistically this is more of A bed and breakfast feel than a hotel feel but I made good use of the spa bath which was much needed and amazing. The bed was super comfy. And the furniture and lighting made for some nice photos. Some light redecorating could freshen things up greatly. The lack of a lift was rough but I managed. Staff were helpful but the information sheet was pretty faded and basic. It's a period building and so my room felt massive but that also comes with some noise through the windows and from other rooms spa baths. Overall I feel I got my moneys work for a more luxurious bed and breakfast.
