About The Pipers Tryst Hotel

A compact, characterful hotel built around a traditional pub, The Pipers Tryst Hotel occupies 30-34 Mcphater St in Glasgow. The setting gives it a homely, distinctly Scottish feel rather than the anonymous style of larger city-centre chains, with the bar and restaurant forming the heart of the building downstairs.

Rooms are en-suite, clean and comfortably sized, with room service and drinks available for those who prefer to stay in. Breakfast is served each morning and is a particular strength, with kids' meals also catered for. The bar and restaurant downstairs offer outdoor seating, and the hotel can host meetings, weddings and bridal parties, backed up by luggage storage and a laundry service for practical needs. Free on-site parking is a useful bonus in a city where that's not always easy to come by.

Staff are attentive and helpful, and the overall atmosphere is welcoming rather than corporate, with prices generally considered fair for what's on offer. The Robert The Bruce Monument is a nearby point of interest, and Glasgow Queen Street is within easy reach, alongside pubs, restaurants and a golf course in the surrounding area.

It is a small space with a lovely atmosphere. Ideally located near theatres and the concert hall. The staff were really helpful. We were a large group with various dietary requirement. There was no problem they were very helpful and everyone enjoyed they lovely food which was beautifully presented.

Food always quality and high standard . They have a good chef here. My wife and i had the Gressinngham duck with leaks and potatoe and Jus main . A bottle of northern Italy Pinot Grigio and for dessert Scottish sweet ,raspberry cranachan dissapointing too much cream lack of oats and whisky taste. Raspberries and cream stunning! Finished with two cappuccinos Food always good would have given 5 stars had cranachan hit the mark. Service was good thanks Emily Gemma ,Catilina. See you again Gordon & Maura Darroch Inverkip Greenock
