River Quay

Cross the threshold at River Quay and you enter a three-level home spread across a terraced townhouse. Ground floor holds the kitchen and dining space, fitted with an electric Aga, dishwasher and all the essentials for self-catering, alongside a bedroom with a single bed and a bathroom with bath and shower. The first floor opens into a generous living room with a 52-inch smart television and electric fire, plus a second bedroom containing two single beds. Climb to the top and you'll find the main bedroom—a kingsize—with its own ensuite shower room. The whole place is yours alone, with wifi, heating, bed linen and towels all provided.

Outside, a small enclosed courtyard has garden furniture and a barbecue. Parking is available for one car on the property, with further public parking nearby. One dog stays free; children's equipment like a travel cot and stairgate can be requested in advance. The property is no-smoking throughout.

Gorleston-on-Sea sits just south of Great Yarmouth, a few minutes' walk from golden sand and the promenade with its cafés, pubs and restaurants. The harbour here marks one entrance to the Norfolk Broads National Park. From this base you can reach Horsey Beach for winter seal-spotting, Winterton's sand dunes, or venture inland to Norwich for shopping and dining. Suffolk's attractions—Framlingham Castle, Dunwich, the RSPB Minsmere Reserve—are within reach. The lifeboat station is nearby for those interested in maritime heritage.
