A no-frills hotel on Kings Road, Great Yarmouth, suited to families and seaside breaks with an outdoor pool and free parking.
About Hotel Victoria
Hotel Victoria works best for travellers after a straightforward, affordable base near Great Yarmouth seafront rather than a polished city stay. Families in particular will find it practical, with family rooms, a garden and an outdoor pool giving children space to burn off energy between trips to the coast.
Rooms are simple and en-suite, with free WiFi and drinks available, and the hotel operates a 24 hour reception with a lift for easier access to upper floors. There's a bar and restaurant on site, breakfast is included, and free on-site parking makes arriving by car easy.
The surrounding area covers most bases for a seaside break, with a golf course, fishing, watersports and walking areas nearby, plus pubs and restaurants within reach and entertainment close by for evenings out. It suits guests who want a comfortable, uncomplicated stopover close to the attractions rather than a luxury getaway.
What guests say
This hotel is an absolute disgrace, avoid at all costs. As soon as you walk in the front door the smell hits you, it’s awful. The hotel is very dated, run down and filthy dirty. It needs gutting and starting again. Our room was also very dirty and again dated. There carpet was ripped and stained with gods knows what knows what, the curtains were dirty, there was rubbish left in the room from a previous guest, there was bathroom floor was dirty, there was hair on the side of the bath, the shower poked was rusty, there shower curtain was moldy and the towels were stained. When I opened the wardrobe it nearly collapsed. The bedding looked ok but smelt weird. The only good thing I can say is the shower was powerfully and hot. There was people coming and going all night, walking up and down the halls, talking and arguing. The bar was closed the whole time, there was do breakfast even though when booking it stayed it’s included( not that I would have eaten there anyway) The pool was closed my the local authorities for maintenance. I wouldn’t house stray cats in that place let alone rent rooms to paying guests. Avoid avoid avoid!!!!!!

I booked to stay for 2 nights but made a mistake and booked for the wrong month. But stayed any way and had to pay When I asked for a refund for the two nights I booked for originally they said no and made me pay twice. No swimming pool, no lock on doors filthy room and filthy carpets. Absolutely diabolical.
