About The Sea Princess
The Sea Princess is a sizeable 61-room hotel set along North Drive in Great Yarmouth, its scale giving it the feel of a traditional seaside establishment rather than a boutique stay. The building looks out towards the coast, with a terrace that takes advantage of the sea views, and it keeps things straightforward rather than fussy.
Rooms are simple and functional, with en-suite bathrooms, family rooms available, and drinks provided in-room. Accessible rooms and a lift make getting around easier, and free WiFi is included throughout. Guests can eat on site at the restaurant, snack bar or bar, with breakfast and packed lunches available for those heading out for the day, while a garden adds a bit of outdoor space to relax in.
The hotel is a short distance from the beach and within reach of Great Yarmouth's attractions, with walking and cycling routes, watersports, fishing and golf all nearby, plus pubs, restaurants and entertainment close by. Free on-site parking is provided, which is useful given the coastal location. Rooms are basic rather than stylish, so this suits guests after a no-frills, well-placed base by the sea.

What guests say
A full review - when we booked we were told there was guest parking, it doesn't tell you that there are eight spaces, and to park on the road outside is £4.50 for 4 hours. When we checked in the host was really friendly and welcoming but the room we were given hadn't been cleaned, the bed was unmade, wet towels on the bathroom floor, as well as dirty mugs on the table. There was also £10 on the table which we assumed was for the service, we decided to leave this. When we discussed this with the host, he was very apologetic and upgraded us to a "superior sea view room" which wasn't much bigger than the first but had a table at the window and some storage furniture. The bed was extremely soft, this was due to it being a mattress topped with a thick piece of foam (possibly memory foam) which meant every movement from myself or my partner shook the whole bed. The sea view room had a lovely view but was next to a busy road even at night. It was too hot in the room due to the weather so we had to have the window open but this was met with being woke up by passing cars. This led to a terrible nights sleep. The bathroom facilities had various broken tiles and the shower was far too small, the slightest movement resulted in adjusting the temperature tap with your body which was followed by a very sudden change in temperature that either froze or burnt depending on which way you turned. Breakfast was reasonable, the service was quick and clearly well adjusted for the current COVID issues When we checked out we were polite and explain service was good, as we didn't feel the need to complain, but what got me was at this point the host told us about a "special offer" they are offering, where if we reviewed on booking.com while we were still there and scored them all "10s" we would get £10 back. We declined as we did not want to mark them at full marks as felt this was misleading. The room was only £45 so we got what we paid for essentially - the host was polite, friendly and very apologetic when needed, other than the dodgy "special offer" couldn't knock him at all, breakfast was reasonable, but probably wouldn't stay here again.

I was unfortunately disappointed with our stay. Room was in need of a tidy up and deep clean. Lots of scuff marks on the wall and the bathroom didn't smell too fresh probably due to the fact that the water would not drain away in the shower. 3 stars awarded for location, half comfortable bed and the very friendly staff but unlikely to stay here again.

Lovely room, there was a few damages but not a big deal of issue there. Bed was really comfy and lovely decorated absolutely loved the marble units and table. Nice hot shower with good water pressure, very clean room, spacious and my favourite part of the room was the gorgeous sea view and it had a balcony which was very nice in the morning to go out on and watch the sunrise over the sea. Brilliant host! Very welcoming and entertaining. I highly recommend to anyone who wants to go on holiday in Great Yarmouth to stay in this hotel and I will very much stay here again. -Amber M, Arron C

Started off in one room, I’m which the bed broke after being sat on (by someone weighing less than 65kg!!). Manager was shocked and in the end “upgraded” us to a sea view room. In fairness it was bigger and slightly better than the first attempt, however, bird excrement on the windows did spoil the view slightly. We were not very impressed by the breakfast and only ate it once despite it being included in the price. The service from breakfast staff was very good, but the food was just not. I won’t be staying here again unfortunately, despite the good location, it just wasn’t worth the money paid. Over £70 a night!
