About Imperial Hotel
Gluten-free breakfast options are a small but telling detail at the Imperial Hotel, on North Drive in Great Yarmouth, and one of several ways this 39-room hotel looks after its guests. The kitchen turns out a varied spread each morning, with packed lunches and kids' meals also available for families passing through.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and drinks in room, and the hotel spans three floors served by a lift, with family and accessible rooms among the options. Beds and housekeeping are kept to a good standard throughout. Downstairs there's a restaurant, bar and snack bar, along with room service, laundry service, concierge and business facilities including meeting rooms for those combining work with a stay by the coast.
Free on-site parking and an electric vehicle charge point make arriving straightforward, and the seafront and Great Yarmouth's attractions are close by, alongside golf, fishing, cycling and walking routes, watersports, and nearby pubs and restaurants. Pets are welcome, and staff are consistently noted for being attentive and easy to deal with.
What guests say
Everything is absolutely immaculate. Perfect location for a short weekend visit to Yarmouth as it lies right on the seafront, but in a relatively quaint part of town. Although carrying a rustic feel, rooms are modern, air-conditioned, and furnishings are comfortable. This is a wonderful venue in Yarmouth, easily accessible, with a large adjacent car park. I didn't get to sample the food, but the restaurant terrace also provides views of the nearby locale. All in all, I'd wager the best of its kind in Yarmouth.

We recently stayed at The Imperial for our wedding night and also recommended it to many of our friends and family who were travelling to the area for our wedding. Although we were married elsewhere, The Imperial quickly became the hub of our wedding weekend, with so many of our guests staying there. From the outset, Grant was absolutely fantastic. He coordinated bookings for everyone with ease and went above and beyond to organise a meal for the groom's family and friends the night before the big day. What started out as a "quiet dinner for 12" somehow grew into a lively gathering of 37 people, and Grant handled it all effortlessly! One of the biggest highlights for our guests was breakfast. The choice was exceptional, the quality was excellent, and it set everyone up perfectly for the day ahead. The Imperial is also brilliantly located for exploring the local area, making it an ideal base whether you're visiting for a special occasion or simply enjoying North Norfolk. A huge thank you to Grant, whose organisation, warmth and attention to detail made such a difference to our wedding weekend. He has a real talent for making everyone feel welcome, and it's people like him who turn a great hotel into a memorable one. We'd happily recommend The Imperial to anyone visiting the area.

We never stayed here, but did breakfast as non residents. The supervisor took our order of 3 imperial breakfasts and 1 eggs royale with no issues. The server came out with 2 plates, neither of which were correct. She disappeared and came back with another 2 plates, again they weren't right, but with just an added unwanted item so we accepted. Of the next 2 plates one was correct but cold and the other again had an unwanted item on the plate. The accompanying toast was barely toasted. I definitely would not eat here again. This was our first time eating here and obviously wasn't the best experience. The time of day was around 9am so not too busy. I think someone in the kitchen might need to look at the orders better, which would improve the service

Rooms spotless, bed v.comfotable, fab shower/toilet, lift " interesting " suites the built era of hotel with only 2 people at a time in lift. Food fabulous, serving staff amazing, totally nothing was a problem. An overall good feel/comfortable/homley but, with being treated politely and that you feel your their guest. Location away from noise, and on the front. Definitely recommend.
