Extremely noisy to the point you can’t sleep as everything vibrates with the motorway next to it.Site is on a slope so our bed was at an angle that made it really uncomfortable. Electric hook up never worked and no response from owner when we tried to call him, we think he knew it wasn’t working before taking us in but never told us. There was no shower available. Owner banged on the campervan door continuously at 07:40 am when we were all sleeping including our young children, to demand urgent payment as he had to go out shopping. Avoid!!

Lovely little CL, really nice surroundings. We stayed overnight on the 8th September 2025. Owner is very friendly. If we are coming back up using the M6 we will definitely try and use the site again. Gem of a CL. 👍

This CL is very conveniently situated adjacent to the A74M making it suitable for overnight stops between England/Scotland. However, there is a lot of traffic noise and rumbling vibration from the busy motorway immediately behind. We found this barely reduced overnight, even at a weekend, making the CL the equivalent to parking at a busy motorway service station which, incidentally, was just across the 6 carriageways. The traffic noise is stated on the CL website but we didn't realise just how bad it would be until we arrived. Other than the intrusive traffic noise, the CL is well laid out with long narrow pitches, 16A EHU to most, water tap and Elsan disposal. The owner is very friendly and welcoming, visiting with his friendly dog to collect payments and shared local information with us. It is just a shame the location has so much traffic noise or it would have been perfect.

This a good CL if you want to be close to the Old Blacksmiths shop/centre and the outlet. The site was tidy, and the owner was helpful. There is no getting a way from it, there is a lot of traffic noise from the motorway. However, it suited our needs and would not hesitate to stop again.
