About Days Inn Gretna Green
Days Inn Gretna Green suits travellers breaking up a long drive rather than those after a destination stay in itself, sitting within the Welcome Break services area just off the A7 in Gretna. It works well for one-night stops between England and Scotland, for pet owners on the road, or for anyone who wants easy access to Carlisle and the wider South Scotland area without venturing far from the motorway.
The hotel has 64 rooms spread across several floors, reached by lift, with family and accessible rooms available and pets welcome throughout. Rooms come with drinks facilities, and free WiFi is provided for anyone catching up on work or planning the next leg of a journey. A restaurant on site covers breakfast and meals, with further eateries nearby for more choice, and there are meeting rooms for those travelling on business.
Parking is available on site but comes at a charge, worth factoring into the overall cost of a stay. Its position right by the services area means it's built for convenience over character, making it a practical base for exploring Gretna Green itself or pushing on to Carlisle the next morning.
People say this hotel offers clean, comfortable, and quiet rooms with good showers and free WiFi, along with friendly and helpful staff.
Other reviews mention parking can be an extra charge and the beds can be uncomfortable.
