Church Cottage is a ground-floor apartment carved from a former church, arranged on one level for straightforward access. You enter into a dining hall with original tiled floors and church windows still in place. The living room has a smart TV with Netflix; the kitchen is equipped for everyday cooking with an electric cooker, microwave and full-size fridge-freezer; the bedroom holds a double bed; and the shower room includes a walk-in shower, washing machine and grab rail. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are all provided, along with a welcome pack on arrival.
The cottage sits in its own courtyard with a front garden, sitting-out area and furniture, plus private parking for one car. It sleeps two people and is yours alone for the duration of your stay. Smoking is not permitted indoors.
The location puts you within minutes of the A75 and M6, making it practical for exploring Dumfries and Galloway, the Scottish Borders, and Hadrian's Wall. Gretna Green is nearby, as is the Devil's Porridge Museum, which documents the area's wartime past. Hesket Timber Buildings & Joinery is also close at hand if you're interested in craftsmanship.
