About Smiths At Gretna Green Hotel
Smiths At Gretna Green Hotel is a substantial 50-room property in Gretna Green, built to handle both passing travellers and longer stays with equal ease. Its size gives it the feel of a proper full-service hotel rather than a small guesthouse, with a lift for easy access to the upper floors and air conditioning to keep rooms comfortable year-round.
Guests get a restaurant and bar on site, along with breakfast and free WiFi, so there's little need to head out after a long drive. A garden offers a bit of outdoor space, and business services are available for anyone travelling for work rather than pleasure. Free on-site parking makes arriving by car straightforward, which matters given the hotel's position just over the border in Dumfries and Galloway.
The area around Gretna is known for its long association with weddings and border history, and golfers have Stony Holme Golf Club within reach for a round nearby. It's a practical base for exploring the region or simply breaking a journey, with the hotel's own facilities covering most of what guests need without leaving the grounds.
