Loved this place! Honestly it was like being in a fairy tale as we sat opposite the water whilst dandelion spores floated all around. We really enjoyed the walking trails and the marble runs, the only reason I didnt given it five stars was that i thought the themed trails were slightly disappointing as alot of the wooden figures looked old/damaged or were taken out of commission entirely. That being said, this place offers a whole lot more than just the gruffalo and I would definitely recommend it for a nice active family day out.

We have been to Alice Holt quite a few times, although not for a while. We decided to go for a slightly damp day walk and take a picnic and thermos as we knew they had some undercover seating next to the cafe. What we were surprised about though was that they have ABSOLUTELY NO bins on site, other than sanitary and one dog poo bin. I appreciate that they want to save money and expect everyone to take their rubbish home, but I find that a very weird thing to do. It wasn't too bad yesterday as it wasn't particularly busy, but I can imagine, on busy summers days, there must be rubbish left here, there and everywhere. Not everyone has the same morals or ethics, and so I am almost certain that they would just leave it where they say if they couldn't see a bin. We had left over food waste, which I didn't want to carry in a bag pack with no rubbish bag, so I spoke to the cafe and they said to put it on the dirty tray on the table they hadn't cleaned, and they would throw it away for me, which was lovely of them. Just make sure you take rubbish bags with you so you can carry your rubbish home. Also, there is a new ball run thing throughout the woods in various locations. We didn't know anything about this, and it doesn't seem to be advertised when you walk in the main entrance, nor when you start the play trail. If you have kids, I would recommend taking a tennis ball sized ball, or buying one of their wooden ones, I assume from the information centre, as our kids were very disappointed that we didn't have one.

We had a fantastic family day !! It’s was hot day like 29-30 degrees. They have got plenty of tree shade. It was ok for 2hours bike trip! My little on is 2.5years , she loves the trip and all of play ground. Specially, the marble run!! This is a great place. She absolutely loved it. Car parking 🅿️ price was 5hours for about £15! I think it is reasonable price (membership available free car parking ) and the wooden marble is £8 I do recommend to buy one , if you have little one! They will love it 😍 we will come back !!

Visited last weekend with Family - my kids had loads of fun there and its amazing place for Picnic - cycling for kids and proper walking trails.
