Black Rock Sands - Gest Oren
Gwynedd

Morfa Bychan sits on the Gwynedd coast near Porthmadog, with Black Rock Sands just a short walk away. The beach itself is unusually broad and firm-packed, allowing vehicles onto the sand—a rarity that suits families seeking straightforward seaside access. The water stays shallow and clear close to shore, and the dunes behind create a natural windbreak. Nearby walking routes trace the coastal paths, while Porthmadog town lies minutes inland.
Gest Oren is a two-bedroom cottage sleeping five: one bedroom has a super king bed, the other three single beds. The ground floor holds an open-plan living and dining space, a kitchen with electric cooker and hob, and access to a shared garden area with seating. Upstairs is a bathroom with bath, shower and heated towel rail. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity are all provided. There is parking for one car on site, and one pet stays free of charge.
The cottage suits families or small groups wanting straightforward access to a beach that's good for dogs, picnics and building sandcastles. The shallow water and presence of toilets and ice cream vans make it practical rather than remote. No smoking is permitted inside.

Gorgeous beach. Huge and child friendly. Amazing white sand. Very impressive. Car parking is limited and the beach road is only accessible on foot from a certain point. The day I visited was a wet and gloomy day but I loved this beach

It's a beautiful and clean beach. Went there on the hottest day and that too on weekend when it was jam packed but the consistent police patrols made it very convenient for families to have a secure place for the kids and all to enjoy without any card drifting hazards.
