About Tyddyn Adi Caravan and Camping Park

Tucked on the edge of Porthmadog, this family-run site offers a refreshingly simple base for exploring Snowdonia and the coast. Black Rock Sands is a five-minute stroll away, while Portmeirion sits around four miles up the road. Regular visitors particularly praise the spotless facilities and welcoming owners, who keep things low-key and well maintained.

You'll find a mix of grass and sand pitches for tents, tourers and motorhomes, plus modern showers and toilets, but no shop, pool or Wi-Fi—this is old-school camping done properly. Some note the basic approach won't suit everyone, but for those after a straightforward, dog-friendly pitch between the mountains and the beach, Tyddyn Adi hits the spot. Snowdonia's walking trails are roughly fifteen minutes by car, making it easy to combine hill days with seaside downtime.

Beautiful camp site, lovely peaceful location close to black rock beach. Portaloos nice and clean, food hut had good selection, salt & pepper chicken box was a winner. Main shower block/toilets modern and clean. Fire-pit with logs and marshmallows available to hire at a reasonable cost. Staff really friendly and very helpful, overall great experience here would definitely stay again

We stayed in a glamping pod for 2 nights 2adults and 2 children). It was lovely. Pod spacious and clean. Very modern. Hot tub was fab! Would have been 5/5 if only for a different matress and somewhere to hang a hand towel. Amazing break away! Thank you.

I paid for 2 nights at the campsite and my lads primary school prom made me late so I decided to turn up a day late. Without a phone call to confirm if I was not coming (I arrived around 1pm) my pitch was given to someone else and I was squeezed in at the furthest point away from any facilities on site. The facilities that were available were tiny as I am a muscular man and had to slope my shoulders to fit in to the toilets. Zero hot water and the showers were the other side of the site that needed us to collect tokens for but with 2 young kids in toe not ideal. The campsite kept getting more and more crammed on to this overflow field that I had been placed on. I had 3 young adults pitch a tent literally right next to my window and I mean less than a meter away! It got that full of loud foreign people I decided to pack up and leave just before 8pm. Both kids wanted to go also as there was ZERO WiFi or phone coverage. The staff when I arrived were superb though and the young woman who told me where to pitch was very helpful otherwise I would be really unhappy and would have told the staff so before I left! Lovely location but for trying to cram in those extra few tents this is site I will not recommend or go to again. Sorry for this review as it’s your buisness however the money I gave you was hard earned from my buisness. I don’t normally leave negative feedback as a general rule but on this occasion it was required because that’s a first for me having to leave a site that I paid £70 for to then be put in a field with festival toilets and zero space!

Ok, so the amenities are a little dated and the camp ground toilets are small but the site is only a short walk to a stunning beach, around a 3 mile walk to Porthmadog and Criccieth, 15 minutes drive to Portmerion. You can use the facilities on the Haven site across the road. The camping pitches are a good size and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
