Blaenau Ffestiniog has reinvented itself as a base for outdoor pursuits and industrial heritage tourism. The Ffestiniog Railway station is within walking distance, as are Llechwedd Slate Caverns and Zip World. Snowdonia National Park is a short drive away, and the beaches at Black Rock Sands and Harlech are similarly accessible. The town itself, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its slate mining legacy, sits among mountain terrain suited to walking, climbing, mountain biking and kayaking.
Britannic Chambers is a first-floor apartment sleeping six across three bedrooms: two doubles and one with bunk beds. The bathroom has both a bath with shower and a separate walk-in shower.
