Cwm Cywarch Valley offers some of Snowdonia's finest walking country, with routes up Aran Fawddwy and across dramatic terrain that draws serious hikers. Ceunant, a 16th-century stone farmhouse on a working sheep farm, sits deep in this landscape accessed by private track across fields. The building retains original oak beams and an inglenook fireplace alongside modern heating installed in 2021.
Three bedrooms—all with double beds—and a shower room occupy two floors. Downstairs there is a living and dining room with woodburner, plus a kitchen equipped for proper cooking: electric oven, dishwasher, washer-dryer and the rest. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are provided, along with initial logs for the fire. An enclosed lawned garden with patio and furniture adjoins the house, and parking for three cars sits on site.
Dinas Mawddwy village, with a pub and shop, is a short drive down the valley. Further afield lie Machynlleth and Dolgellau for restaurants and provisions. One dog is welcome. No smoking throughout.
