About Llwyn yr Helm Caravan Park
Tucked into the Snowdonia foothills near Dolgellau, Llwyn yr Helm Caravan Park offers a peaceful, no-fuss retreat for families and dog owners exploring Gwynedd. The site keeps things simple with electric hook-ups, clean facilities including showers and toilets, and WiFi to help you plan the next day's walks.
Guests consistently praise the warm welcome and well-maintained grounds, though a few note that pitches can feel a touch close together during busier periods. What visitors say
Lovely campsite. Stayed at an electric pitch for 2 nights. Facilities are impeccable, really spacious and very clean. Never needed to wait to use the WC as there were so many. Pitch was a very good size, could comfortably fit a 6 man tent, awning, and car with room to spare. Was greeted by the caretaker/groundsman (I believe) who pointed us in the direction of everything and even let us take a bench to use for our stay. Electricity worked perfectly. The small farm area was lovely, quite a bit of time was spent there. Good location wise too. Overall a great spot and would definitely return.

Wonderful and relaxing. Yes the road is narrow to the site but it's not impossible and there are plenty of passing points. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It is a family site with a play area and a dog walk is sign posted.

The best campsite I've been to yet without a shadow of a doubt. The views from here are outstanding, the cleanliness of the main shower, pot wash and toilet block was top notch!! Sooooo many fantastic walks around the area some you can find on the notice board in the toilet block, along with taxi and shopping delivery info etc, and many many more can be found from the very well provisioned reception where you'll find the staff only too happy to help and suggest some to try. Big shout out to Lee and Joy who manage the site for their suggestions on walks, friendly help and for making my wife feel and look like a little girl being told off when their dog was being told off after having made a mess of their patch. Priceless!!!!!! So funny. A truly wonderful stay, really can't say enough about how good this site is. Book, stay, go and see!! You'll love it. Oh and a big thank you to the owner for posting regards the Peregrine Circus in Dolgellau during our stay. It was well worth attending, fantastic group who we'll look up again when next in Wales. Oh and from the little, "I love the animals!!!!!" Yes even a little animal barn where you can visit, pet and feed some of the farm animals, very well kept and lovely.
