🏡 Self-Catering Cottage 🐾 Pets Welcome

Erw Goed Hen Feudy

Gwynedd

Erw Goed Hen Feudy is a detached cottage on a smallholding between the Mawddach Estuary and Cadair Idris, within Snowdonia National Park. You arrive after crossing uneven ground and a small footbridge to reach the entrance. Inside, the ground floor opens into a living room with a wood burner and TV, a separate dining room, and a conservatory. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with a dishwasher and washer-dryer. Upstairs are three bedrooms: a kingsize with its own shower cubicle, a single, and a room with two singles. There are two bathrooms in total. One bedroom and the bathroom are on the ground floor as well.

The cottage sits on 85 acres of shared woodland and farmland that guests are free to explore. Your own half-acre garden is fenced and enclosed, with a stream running through it; there is also a camp fire site and a bothy for outdoor cooking. You can meet the farm animals—ducks, chickens, bees, and sometimes pigs. Essentials including electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are covered; fuel for the wood burner is provided to start. One well-behaved pet stays free. Please note there is an unfenced stream in the garden. The cottage does not permit smoking.

Sandy beaches at Fairbourne and Barmouth are 3 miles away. The Mawddach Trail is nearby for walking. Dolgellau market town is 6 miles distant, with Coed-y-Brenin mountain biking centre 10 miles further. A shop, pub and restaurant are 3 miles away. Pony trekking, fishing and golf are available locally.
