Hen Stabl is a converted stable on an 85-acre smallholding near Caernarfon, adjoining a 400-year-old farmhouse. The setting puts you close to Snowdonia National Park's main attractions: Cadair Idris is 4 miles away, Coed-y-Brenin's walking trails and mountain biking are nearby, and the Mawddach Estuary sits just beyond the boundary. Barmouth and Fairbourne's beaches are 3 miles off. Dolgellau market town, good for supplies and eating out, is 6 miles away.
The cottage holds four people across a double bedroom downstairs, bunk beds in the same room, and a sofa bed in the living room upstairs. The shower room is on the ground floor. Downstairs also has a kitchen with electric cooking and a dining space; the first-floor living room has an open fire, TV and seating. Electricity, heating, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are included, along with initial fuel for the fire. There is parking on site and an electric vehicle charging point.
You have access to the wider smallholding and its woodland, where a bothy and camp fire site are available if you want to cook outside. The owners keep bees, chickens and ducks, and sell eggs, honey and beeswax products. A garden with picnic bench adjoins the cottage; note there is an unfenced stream running through it. Smoking is not permitted.
