Hafod

Hafod is a two-bedroom cottage in Barmouth where everything needed for a stay is already here. Electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are included. The property sleeps four: one double bedroom and one twin, plus a bathroom with bath and shower. Parking for two cars sits on site, and there's an enclosed rear garden with patio, garden furniture and a firepit.

The first-floor layout centres on a living room with Freeview TV and DVD player, opening via French doors onto a balcony. Books line the shelves if you want to unplug. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, and fridge-freezer, with a breakfast area for dining. No dishwasher means washing up by hand—part of the retro character. The bathroom contains a bath with shower over. Ten steps lead down into the garden from the house, and twelve steps up to the front entrance.

Barmouth is a working coastal town near Bradbury's Garage, within reach of the Mawddach Estuary, Harlech Castle and Portmeirion. The location suits walkers and those wanting sea views without digital distractions—there is no Wi-Fi. Smoking is not permitted inside. Check-in is after 15:00 and checkout before 10:00.
