Rolling hills and open farmland surround this detached house on the edge of Snowdonia National Park, two miles from Bala. The setting is quiet—sheep country that requires dogs on leads—yet the market town is close enough for restaurants, cafés and supplies. From the door you can walk straight into the landscape or drive to Bala Lake, the National White Water Centre, or further afield to Barmouth's coast.
Bryn Melyn sleeps eight across four bedrooms: two kingsize doubles and two rooms with singles. Two bathrooms mean the mornings run smoother. The ground floor has a sitting room with woodburner and a second living space with Netflix, a kitchen fitted with the essentials for self-catering, and a shower room. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included, as are initial logs for the fire.
Outside, a private hot tub sits in an enclosed patio with garden furniture and a charcoal barbecue. A games room holds a pool table, darts board, table football and table tennis. One dog is welcome. You get parking for four cars and bike storage. Children can use a travel cot, highchair and stairgate if needed. No smoking inside.

Had a fantastic few days here with my son. Really enjoyed fishing the river, playing tennis, BBQ and lake Bala. Wish we'd had longer! It's a beautiful place. Really peaceful, cottage was great- clean and stocked with everything we could have wanted. Gu and Steve are so welcoming, the pizza night was really fun!

We had an excellent stay at the farm a couple of weeks ago, lovely accommodation, which was very clean on arrival, excellent facilities and nice friendly hosts, we will hopefully be back!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage. From the moment we arrived, the hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming — nothing was too much trouble, and their friendly, personal touch really made the trip special. The cottage itself was lovely, immaculately kept, and the facilities were excellent throughout. The surroundings are wonderfully tranquil — the perfect place to switch off and unwind. We'd highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. Five stars! :)
