This former school building has been transformed into holiday accommodation with genuine period character. Snowdon is one of three cottages created from the conversion, each retaining the charm of the original structure. The property sits near Caernarfon, close enough to explore the castle and town on foot, yet positioned as a base for tackling Snowdonia's peaks and trails. Llanberris village, home to the mountain railway and slate museum, lies five miles away.
The cottage sleeps four across two double bedrooms on the first floor. Downstairs, an open-plan living area includes a woodburning stove, dining space and a kitchen equipped for self-catering. One bathroom serves the property. An enclosed garden with patio and sitting area opens from the ground floor, with a communal courtyard shared by the other converted units. Parking for two cars is private; an electric charging point is available on site. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are provided, and one well-behaved pet is welcome. The property is non-smoking.
Walkers will find countless routes across the national park, from accessible valley walks to serious ascents. The area also suits families interested in heritage sites, outdoor attractions and the Welsh Slate Museum. Zip World's velocity course is within reach for those seeking adrenaline pursuits.

We had a beautiful hike in June 2026 with incredible weather. Nice steady climb up the Pyg and down Miners for a very enjoyable day. The pictures taken did not do the view justice, what a fantastic landscape.

Always a great hill day despite the hoardes of tourists. You only have to walk 200m to an adjacent peak to leave behind the masses.
