Yr Wyddfa is a three-bedroom conversion of an old school building in Gwynedd, sleeping up to 6 guests. The ground floor contains a living room with woodburner and patio doors opening onto a sitting area, plus a dining space and one bedroom with bunk beds. Upstairs are two further bedrooms, each with a double bed, and a bathroom with bath and shower. The property has its own entrance and comes with electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wi-fi; a travel cot and highchair are available if you ask. Two cars can park on site, and there is an electric vehicle charging point.
The location works well for several reasons. Caernarfon town centre is within easy reach, including Caernarfon Castle. More significantly, Snowdonia National Park lies a short drive away—Llanberis, at the foot of Snowdon itself, is five miles off, home to the mountain railway and the Welsh Slate Museum. The surrounding countryside takes in Anglesey and the Lleyn peninsula. For families after something different, Zip World's velocity course is also accessible from here. No smoking is permitted in the property. The cottage can be booked alongside two neighbouring conversions to sleep larger groups.
