The Lodge

Harborough

Rural Harborough offers walking country and quiet farmland near the borders of Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Rutland. The Lodge stands on a working farm surrounded by open fields, where sheep and cattle are regular sights and lambs appear in the paddock depending on the season. The area suits families and groups wanting a base for exploring three counties; walkers and cyclists find plenty of footpaths and quiet roads, while fishing at Eyebrook Trout Fishery (3 miles away) and Rutland Water (13 miles) are available nearby.

This detached wooden lodge sleeps eight across four bedrooms: a double with ensuite shower, two further doubles, and a twin room with bunk beds. The ground floor is arranged as one open living space with a woodburner, French doors onto a decking area, and a kitchen equipped for cooking proper meals. A second bathroom serves the remaining bedrooms. Bed linen, towels, wifi and heating are included; there is parking for three cars on site and a secure bike store. One dog can stay free, though it must remain on a lead as the property sits in sheep country.

A front garden with terrace and furniture overlooks the fields. The setting is notably quiet and peaceful—the kind of place where evening entertainment revolves around the log fire rather than finding restaurants, though Eyebrook and Rutland Water both offer fishing if that interests you.
