Attended a swimming gala as a parent. Facilities and FREE parking are worthy of 4/5 stars, reception food area had a good range of choice and staff were friendly… but seriously disappointed in the safeguarding practices. 🚨 Whilst I accept today was an internal swimming gala meet from local cubs, and potentially no external people, there’s never any guarantee. There were the general public using other areas of the building … the abundance of parents filming not just their child but everyone else’s was out of control. I reported it to reception and no action was taken. Not even a tannoy announcement by the organisers or the Hydro staff. One has to question how seriously the building takes the safeguarding of young people … We either have to accept as a society - do we want to protect some private places where we take our clothes off and there are young children, or we just let everyone have a free for all? It seems nobody was bothered today. I fear for looked after children and vulnerable people. 📸

I was pleasantly surprised. Everything is beautifully presented. New fixtures and fittings and a great class taught by an experienced teacher. The class booking system works well and it's great value. I will definitely go again.

Recently joined this gym absolutely love its super clean equipment is amazing great classes available sauna and steam room are a great size and regularly cleaned the pool is amazing separate area ideal for children and massive pool with lanes for adults 😀

Amazing facilities recently opened in September 2023. Super friendly staff. Gym, sauna, steam room, Studios, swimming pools, diving pits, and you've got to check out the immersive studio downstairs 😲
