The Lawrance Luxury Aparthotel - Harrogate

Booked this as a “luxury” aparthotel experience, but the reality felt much closer to a Ryanair-style model… a polished exterior with charges for almost everything beyond the basics. Early check-in and late check-out are both chargeable, parking comes at an additional cost, and even having a forgotten item returned incurs a handling fee on top of postage. It all adds up quickly and creates a very transactional feel rather than a premium, guest-focused experience. Please be advised, you don’t need to pay for parking there is loads on the road very very close by. What was particularly disappointing was the lack of discretion. The guest information still stated that parking was complimentary on a first come, first served basis, yet no goodwill was offered when this inconsistency was raised. The apartment itself was good, which makes it more frustrating; the service and overall approach just don’t match the “luxury” positioning. For £175 for one night, I expected a more thoughtful and customer-centric experience. Instead, it felt like a series of add-ons and rigid policies. If you’re considering staying here, I’d suggest going in with clear expectations, it may look luxury, but the experience is much more no-frills.

We rented all of the apartments for our wedding party in May. We had a fantatsic experience with all staff being incredibly helpful! The apartments are beautifu, clean and spacious. Thank you!

Excellent weekend stoping in the Lawrance Apartment C. Tasteful decor and great layout for our weekend away with friends. It’s only a short stroll into Harrogate, where you can enjoy all it has to offer. Would visit again!

Absolutely spot on. Stayed last night, booked a 2 room apartment. Location is perfect (we were at the apartments opposite the convention centre). Apartments are well furnished, and styled well had everything you needed. Bed was comfy. If I really had to nitpick the shower kept going hot and cold, some would probably moan, but it didn't bother me. Parking, we parked at the jubilee car park, it's like 2minute walk. I want to add that when reading some of the negative comments and reviews for these apartments it's people just been daft. It states when booking about the parking, alot of hotels in Harrogate don't come with parking, this one does at its other accommodation, we just chose not to use that facility.
