About Wrens of Ryedale Touring Park
Tucked into the southern fringe of the North York Moors National Park, this family-run site offers a proper countryside retreat without the hassle of remote access - it's just off the A170, making day trips refreshingly straightforward. The well-kept gardens and maintained facilities create a quietly comfortable base, though some might find the adults-only policy limiting if travelling with children. Electric grass pitches suit those who prefer a traditional touring setup, and well-behaved dogs are welcome year-round.
That handy A170 position means Helmsley and Kirkbymoorside are minutes away, while Pickering's steam railway and York's historic centre make excellent outings. Scarborough's beaches are roughly 45 minutes east. Back on site, there's a launderette, outdoor washing-up area, and free wifi - practical rather than flashy. A pub and Indian restaurant sit half a mile down the lane for easy evening meals, and walkers will appreciate the national park trails practically on the doorstep.

What visitors say
This is a highly recommended lodge park. The owner, Joe, is exceptionally customer focused, responsive, transparent and fair, and has been excellent in all the exchanges I have had with him. The park manager, Paul, is also excellent to deal with, and couldn't be more helpful. This is a very peaceful park, and right in the heart of the North York Moors National Park. It is very close to the stunning market town of Helmsley, with some exceptionally pretty villages and incredible pubs, restaurants and other eateries in close proximity.

Owing to illness we have had to leave this beautiful site after 4 wonderful years. We arrived in a tourer, and bought our holiday home the day after arrival! The site is just the right size with about 50 vans set in lovely grounds. It ticked all our boxes - rural site but only 3 miles from Helmsley, quiet with facilities limited to an immaculate toilet and shower block. If you are looking for peace and tranquility set in a rural area but only an hour from the coast, with some of the best pubs in North Yorkshire on your doorstep this place is for you. As an added bonus a brand new Spa Retreat is 200 yards where you can use their bar and restaurant and lash out if you wish to on a variety of the usual spa treatments and wild swimming. Dog friendly with its own dog large enclosed field 200 yards away.

Our first time on a seasonal pitch and if there all like this you'll never have a problem. Site is just big enough as we like it quite with no children. Toilets and showers very clean overall and very pleasurable time is had by all . Well done to Joe 👍

Just came back from a brilliant four night stay at the what must be one of the best kept caravan and camping parks. The facilities were immaculate at all times also the park itself. We were so impressed with the site we have arranged another visit. A credit to the owners such a lovely couple and very helpful. We would highly recommend this site so quiet and peaceful.
