Castle Howard, Duncombe Park, York, Scarborough and Whitby are all within a reasonable drive from Ash Lodge, making it a practical base for exploring North Yorkshire. The North York Moors National Park starts at the edge of the property, so there's immediate access to countryside on foot or by bike. Closer to hand, Helmsley has shops and restaurants, Pickering is home to the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway, and an award-winning farm shop lies a mile away.

This detached lodge sits on one level and sleeps four across two bedrooms: a double and two singles. The ground floor is arranged as an open plan living space with a separate kitchen area that has an electric cooker, dishwasher and washing machine. There's a shower room with a cubicle and access to a decking area with garden furniture. One dog can stay free. Wi-Fi, bed linen, towels and heating are included, and there are two parking spaces on site. A pub and Indian restaurant are in the village, with a pub and restaurant half a mile away. No smoking is permitted inside.
