About The Feathers
A bridal suite and dedicated wedding facilities set The Feathers apart from the average market-town inn, making it as much a venue for celebrations as a place to stay. Right on Market Place in Helmsley, it offers traditional accommodation with en-suite rooms, accessible options, and free on-site parking for anyone arriving by car.
Guests can expect breakfast, a restaurant and bar on site, room service, and drinks brought to the room, while packed lunches and kids' meals are available for families or those heading out for the day. A garden and outdoor seating area give extra space to relax, and there's a laundry service plus meeting rooms for those combining business with a stay. Pets are welcome, so the trip needn't mean leaving the dog behind.
Helmsley itself is well placed for exploring, with Helmsley Castle and the North York Moors National Park both within easy reach, alongside walking and cycling routes, a nearby golf course, and watersports for the more active. Pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby mean evenings are well catered for too, all within walking distance of the hotel's own Market Place setting.
Guests mention this hotel offers luxurious, well-equipped rooms with comfortable beds and thoughtful touches like Nespresso machines. They also highlight the delicious food, including excellent Sunday roasts and full English breakfasts, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere. Visitors consistently praise the staff for being friendly, helpful, and providing top-notch service.
