What visitors say
The loveliest gardens in South Wales I would say! An incredible range of flowers, fruits and vegetables! Even with the current drought the gardens are a sight to see. I would bring a picnic and spent the day enjoying the landscape once you’ve finished exploring. There’s currently an exhibition on “The other Bennet sister”

Great place for a family day out. The grounds are nice a flat so fine for pushchair and wheelchair users. The cafes have an ok selection of gluten free and vegan foods. They didn't have any cakes in the one cafe that are both gultern and dairy free together but I wasnt really that bothered as we took a pack lunch to be on the safe side. Plenty of outside seating, picnic benches etc. Good facilities. Will be returning later in the summer. ☀️

This place is absolutely stunning. Really enjoyed walking around and exploring all the different garden areas. The kids really enjoyed the log playground area, lovely change to a traditional playground. We followed the route on the map as it was our first time going, and we didn't want to miss anything. It took us about 4 hours to get around everything, including stopping for a picnic, playing in the park, and letting the kids explore each area. Can easily make this a whole day out or spend a few hours walking around. Lovely, friendly staff at reception and both cafes. Really nice cakes and coffees too.

What a lovely National Trust property. Plenty of parking with disabled near the entrance building. House is under renovation and lots still to be done. 3 rooms were open with a BBC film costume exhibition . Gardens are well tended and expansive. This would be great to visit in all seasons but Wisteria is the draw with many plants around the garden flowering in April/ May. Lovely landscaped gardens, enormous greenhouse filled with vines and cactus. They need visitor support to help renovations so definitely add this to your list if your in the Cardiff South Wales area. Plenty of toilets around the gardens and two cafes. Lots of people were picnicking and relaxing on the lawns enjoying the gardens and weather.
