About Aylestone Court Hotel

Aylestone Court Hotel occupies a period house on Aylestone Hill, kept deliberately intimate with just six en-suite rooms. The scale gives it a personal feel rather than the anonymity of a larger hotel, with drinks available in room and staff on hand who are known for being attentive and welcoming.

Breakfast, including a full English, is served in a garden room, a bright spot to start the day before heading into Hereford, which is under a mile away. The hotel also has a restaurant and bar for evening meals and drinks, along with free WiFi, laundry service and luggage storage for those passing through. Free on-site parking is a genuine advantage given the central location, and the property also functions as a wedding venue.

Golf, pubs, bars and restaurants are all nearby, and the railway station is within easy reach for those arriving without a car. Herefordshire's countryside and the Worcester Beacon add a further point of interest for anyone looking to explore beyond the town itself.

The only negative is the outdated rooms, however they are currently undergoing a revamp and although our room was outdated it did have some beautiful featured furniture, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. We were in Winston, which is a top floor room but the stairs were easy to climb and there was barely any noise. The shower was great and the bathroom had a lovely view of the side garden. The staff are all amazing. Lyn was so friendly and supportive, helping us find our room and was really disability aware, give us audio descriptions and ensuring we knew where the steps were. Pam was so friendly and helpful and made sure we had what we needed and that we were happy and comfortable. Adam and Pam made us an amazing breakfasts and the breakfast room was beautiful with big windows looking out into the gardens. There was cereals, fruit salad, yoghurt, water, orange juice, milk and jams available. We had a full English which was one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. They also brought us coffee, tea and toast freshly made. The gardens have had some work and effect put into and it shows. It was a beautiful place to rest and sit. I spent so much time laying under a tree enjoying the view. I think I have Jon's mum to thank for that. When we went it was during a heatwave and the staff were lovely, making sure we were hydrated and giving us ice for our own drinks. In the evening we popped into the bar for a drink before bed and chatted with Jon who has done a wonderful job on the bar and the refurbishment. The bar is looking amazing and has a variety of beers and spirits including local beers and potentially gins. We were lucky enough to meet the bestest boy, Ernie, a beautiful Sprocker. Jon and all the staff went above and beyond and made us feel welcome and at home. I have never had such amazing customer service and met people so compassionate to others and passionate about where they work. There is parking available and the staff were kind enough to let us leave our bags so we could explore Hereford before going home. We stayed for two nights for a wedding and had the best time. I can not wait to go back and continue to see the development of the venue. We had an amazing time, thank you so much (Green hair Laura and Clumsy Colin)

1st class experience from start to finish, great host! immaculate and beautifully maintained gardens. The hotel itself is a little dated, but the work that is currently being rapidly completed will turn it into a real Hereford gem. Good luck Jon we look forward to our next visit.

A absolutely lovely stay thank you. The service was brilliant and adjustment were easily made with no fuss, when we our childcare fell through. The room has everything you need and the bed was huge and very comfortable. Plenty to choose from breakfast and all the hot food came out quickly. We would absolutely stay again.

Positives to start. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. Handy location into Hereford within walking distance and kindly allowed me to leave my car there during the day after checking out. Breakfast was lovely, I had the full English. Now the negatives. The building is very beautiful and you can see the potential that it has but its very dated in the room I was in, Lawrence. Tiny TV, could barely get into the shower as a tiny cubicle with an almost pointless shower head. The kettle was disgusting 🫣 (photo added) for £105 its definitely not worth it and I will stay elsewhere on my next trip. The bathroom had quite a strong mouldy smell which thankfully wasnt coming into the room. The room itself was a great size but again so dated and really needs a refresh. The bed was comfortable but nothing special and could hear the cars on the busy road outside. No food except breakfast is served. Found the website to be misleading/out of date.
