Quabbs Head Cottage
Herefordshire, County of
View on Google MapsThe Malvern Hills sit on Herefordshire's western edge, their slopes accessible to walkers via routes that climb towards British Camp and the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty beyond. Quabbs Head Cottage occupies a secluded spot within the 700-acre Netherley Hall Estate, screened by woodland and more than half a mile from the nearest neighbour. The approach is via a rough track requiring careful driving; once here, the isolation is complete.
The cottage holds four bedrooms and two bathrooms across two floors. Ground level has two double rooms—one a king bed, the other a double—plus a shower room. Upstairs, two further king bedrooms occupy the space, one with an en-suite shower and the other served by a bathroom with a bath and shower over. The ground floor also contains the main living areas: a living room with smart TV and a separate dining room, both opening onto a terrace; and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, with electric oven and hob, dishwasher and microwave. Heating comes from an air source heat pump. Bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included; electricity is metered and charged separately. The enclosed front garden has a patio, terraces and seating areas, plus a barbecue. A tennis court and gym are shared facilities on the estate.
Families sleeping eight will find the layout practical, with bedrooms split between floors to suit different needs. Parking accommodates four cars on-site. One dog is welcome and stays free. The property does not permit smoking. From here, woodland walks start at the gate, and the Malvern Hills' well-marked paths are within easy reach.
