Wye Nest is a converted coachhouse on the outskirts of Ballingham, with everything on a single floor. You walk into an open plan space that combines kitchen, dining and living areas, the whole thing oriented toward the view: bi-fold doors frame the Wye Valley, and the bedroom has French doors to its own Juliet balcony overlooking the same prospect. The kitchen is properly equipped for self-catering, with an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and washing machine. The living area has a sofa bed and Smart TV. The bedroom is a double, and there's a shower room with heated towel rail. Everything you need for a stay is supplied—electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included.

Outside, a decked area has a gas barbecue and space to sit with a view across the valley. There is private parking for two cars on site. The setting suits anyone wanting to explore the Wye Valley on foot or by bike; the river itself is good for canoeing and paddleboarding. The village is quiet, with a church and hall, and a country pub and restaurant less than 2 miles away in Carey. No smoking indoors.

Stayed here for a short break, 2 nights in late Nov. Very compact, cleverly designed property. It was very clean & comfortable. A lovely welcome note from hosts with their details should we need them. Amazing view from the patio windows in both rooms. Had a really peaceful and relaxed time and look forward to visiting again. Thank you.

Our second visit to Wye Nest was just as delightful as the first. The accommodation is just wonderful, exceptionally clean, and so well-equipped. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and the views are absolutely stunning. The peace and quiet of the location, along with the lovely outdoor space, make it a perfect retreat. We didn’t even put the television on! We enjoyed relaxing walks along the Wye and local footpaths. Our hosts, Sally and Chris, were brilliant – so friendly, helpful, nothing was too much trouble and they have a great sense of humour. The welcome goodies were much appreciated. We will definitely be returning for a third visit. Thank you both so much! Wye Nest is a gem!
