About The Barn Bellingham

Breakfast and a bar on site set the tone at The Barn Bellingham, an adults-only B&B just outside Hexham. Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, drinks available in room, and free WiFi, so there's little need to leave the grounds once you've settled in, though the garden and its views make stepping outside worthwhile too.

The property sits in a countryside setting with free on-site parking, and reception is staffed around the clock. Beyond the bar and breakfast, guests can walk out into the surrounding area, with a pub, restaurant, and golf course all nearby, plus other entertainment within easy reach.

Hexham Abbey and Hadrian's Wall are both close by, making this a practical base for a couple of days spent exploring Northumberland's history and countryside on foot.

A simply perfect B&B. The room itself is lovely and comfortable, and the dedicated guest conservatory is totally beautiful. Everything is immaculately clean and really welcoming to walkers -- including a good hot shower. Graham's home cooking, including homemade jams and condiments, is a real highlight. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Had the pleasure of spending 5 nights in this wonderful B&B while on a motorcycling holiday in June with my friend Ian. The hosts Graham and Debbie looked after us so well, actually put a few pounds on with the most generous of breakfasts and surprise coffee and cakes.🤭 Nothing was ever any trouble and they went out of their way to make us comfortable. Could not find a better location for exploring Northumberland, the nearby Scottish Borders and the north and west coasts. Graham, thanks for the rideout to Amble, the Fish Shack is a great find. We shall most definitely be returning during 2026.

You might notice a pattern in these reviews - everyone loves this place. And for uncountable solid reasons - The hosts are charming, friendly, warm, all the while giving you space. They are almost telepathic in their ability to know what you need and when. The space itself is gorgeous. Like being in a friendly country home. I’ll be trying to figure out how I can recreate that orangery at home (as if I could). Breakfast was always top-notch. Wonderful variety of options to please any preferences and palates. And the village nearby, Bellingham, is well worth a few days’ exploration. In short, a wonderful, welcoming place and experience.

I have just spent 5 fantastic days here with Graham and Debbie. I can not fault this B&B. Everything, and I mean everything, was just perfect. The breakfast is something else. I kid you not but for them 5 days, I had no evening meal, I just wasn't hungry at all. The attention to detail is just brilliant. In the bedroom you have ample supplies of normal tea, sugar, milk, and earl grey, or coffee if that's your choice, and biscuits. This is stocked up every day too. There's a TV should you wish to watch it. Every time I came back after a brilliant days ride, Graham or Debbie would brake out the cakes, and a pot of tea upon your arrival. The accommodation is top notch in every sense. You have your own space, and they both just leave you to it, they are only on the other side of the door should you need anything. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I genuinely loved staying here, and would do so again in a heartbeat. The best part for me was the fact that when I first booked with them and said I'll be coming with my motorbike, " oh you can put that in our garage ". Don't waste your time with Hotels, stay here instead, you wont regret it. Thanks Graham and Debbie.
