I found this place by accident but I'm glad I did! Excellent beer, friendly staff and a beautiful building. The menu looked wonderful but I was on a tight schedule- next time I'm up this way I wlll give it a go. Well worth a visit!

We had afternoon tea for my birthday. It was amazing, the table was beautifully set out, it made me feel very special. The food was excellent and plenty of it. Could not fault the staff, they all deserve plenty of praise. Thank you, we will be back.

Staff were very friendly and our dog was made very welcome - even had scrambled egg for breakfast. Rooms were spotlessly clean and well equipped. Only downside is lack of parking on site and need to leave car overnight on public open air car park near Waitrose and carry luggage uphill to the hotel.

We have been going to The County for food a few times in the past month or so as we've been in the area for family reasons. You couldn't ask for a better warm welcome. The staff are fantastic, friendly and helpful. The food is first class, plenty of choice on the menu, the dining room or bar area's are immaculate. Definitely worth a visit.
